Hello dA. It has been a very long time since I last posted a journal. My oncologist and surgeon both say the cancer has been successfully removed. I hope they are right.

I would like to send my sincere love to the people who held my hand and helped me through the journey, I couldn't of done it without you. And I want to say thank you to my surgeon and his team for believing in me and giving me the chance to survive. The operation I had was extremely long (fifteen hours) and dangerous; not everyone survives it. I am thankful my surgeon thought I could survive it and give me the opportunity to live on. Without the operation I would of had about six months to live, tops.

Unfortunately before my surgery I went through a long, stressful six months of chemotherapy in attempt to shrink the tumour and save my eye. In the end it didn't work and my eye had to be removed in surgery. And to top it off my lover ended our relationship just when I need his support the most.

I am recovering now and currently waiting for my wounds to heal. Then the next step is plastic surgery and to have a glass eye to replace my removed one. Oh and I am waiting for my hair to grow back. Oh how I miss it, it was so long!

Good news though, my vision is a lot better than I thought it would be. It was terrible at first, but has oddly gotten much better. My poor eye really is working hard to replace the vision I once had. Okay it is not perfect, but I can still use my pc, watch tv if I sit close enough to it, and oddly I am still managing to kind-of draw. I struggle with some things, but I am doing alright at coping with doing the daily things in life.

So please don't critisize my art too much, remember that I can't see as well as I used to, and I am struggling to draw in the same amount of detail that I used to do.

A lot of things still aren't going my way, but I am thankful that I got a second chance to live.
